About Us
The GPO coordinates volunteer activities within the Greenland Central School. These activities serve two purposes:
- We bring together students, families, and faculty to help our Viking school community thrive.
- We raise funds to help subsidize enrichment activities for all students to access.
We appreciate and believe in the passionate, dedicated teachers who help our children grow and learn everyday. As parents and guardians, it is our important role to support the faculty by providing tools and funds to purchase supplemental materials as needed.
Our Mission
The Greenland Parent Organization (GPO) is established to provide support and financial assistance to the Greenland Central School in its basic mission of teaching child enrichment, guidance, and the fundamental development of values and appreciation of fairness.
The GPO is dedicated, through the efforts and commitment of its members, to work with the principal, teachers, and administrative personnel of the Greenland Central School to help ensure that students, both current and future, have the opportunities to grow and develop as caring, active, enlightened citizens and civic leaders.
The GPO, in addition to donating time and energy, will also endeavor to raise money through various activities and events, to financially assist in achieving this mutual goal.
Every parent or guardian automatically belongs and can participate to any extent in any GPO activity.
