11/24 – Gobble ‘N Pie Fun Run and Community Bonfire – The Greenland Parent Organization is hosting Greenland’s second annual Gobble’N’Pie Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Plan to stay for a bonfire, cash concessions by the GWC, kids activities, music and more! All are welcome – the more the merrier for this town community event.
Reading Carnival
After working so hard to improve their reading, writing and arithmetic skills, students in grades K-4 are awarded fun prizes and enjoy a well-earned, carnival-style celebration. Attractions include items such as bouncy houses, face painting, popcorn, and cotton candy! Ask any GCS graduate and this event is sure to be a highlight of their elementary years.
Scholastic Book Fair
The week-long book fair, typically hosted in the Spring, showcases hundreds of titles for readers of all ages. Get classics and new favorites at great prices while helping grow the GCS library. Be on the lookout for more information in emails from the GPO and GCS about opportunities to attend or purchase online.
Staff Appreciation
An expression of gratitude for the excellent staff of GCS, the teachers and staff enjoy Espresso Dave events, Food Truck luncheons, and special surprises. We’ve had raffles, massages, treats, and we’re always looking for new ideas! Join us in saying thanks for all they do for our kids!
GPO GOLF TOURNAMENT
Unfortunately, the GPO Golf Committee was not invited back to Breakfast Hill Golf Club so the annual event is without a home. While the tournament will not take place this fall, we are looking for alternate locations for a possible spring event. Please contact the GPO if you have a connection to a local course where we can host the event. Don’t worry – we will still be funding the annual GPO Scholarship in lieu of the golf tournament this fall.
Please check back here and watch your email for new, exciting events. We are fortunate to have great friends (and fellow GCS parents) at businesses who willing to host give-back events at their locations. Interested in driving Greenland-based traffic to your business and want to do a give-back to the GPO? Fill out this form, and we’ll contact you!
